Auxiliary researcher of the Institute of Social Sciences, University of Lisbon: Project WOMASS, - Women and Associativism in Portugal 1914-1974, financed by FCT, and coordinated by historian Anne Cova (ICS-ULisboa) (PTDC/HAR-HIS/29376/2017) between april 2019 and march 2022. Member of the editorial board of the publisher Imprensa de Ciências Sociais (ICS-ULisboa). Ph.D. in Sociology, in 2016, by the University of Lisbon, Institute of Social Sciences, with the thesis "Affective and sexual intimacy in the press in Portugal (1968-1978)". Graduated in Philosophy - History of Ideas Variant, in 1993, by NOVA School of Social Sciences and Humanities. Accredited trainer for Citizenship Education (Education for Gender Equality) and Health Education Practices (Education for Sexuality), by the Scientific-Pedagogical Council of Continuing Training (Conselho Científico-Pedagógico da Formação Contínua). Lecturer of the I Postgraduate Course in Human Sexuality (Faculdade de Medicina de Lisboa, with Sociedade Portuguesa de Sexologia Clínica); of the the Master in Social and Cultural Psychiatry (Faculty of Medicine, University of Coimbra) (since 2014); of the Advanced Post-University Course in Educational Sexology (Portuguese Society of Clinical Sexology) (since 2014); and of the I and II Post-Graduate Course in Sexology (ISPA). Published 5 books, 1 book chapter, and 2 articles in specialized journals. Author of the books: Compassos Feministas. Associações Federadas no Conselho Nacional das Mulheres Portuguesas (1914-1947) (Edições Húmus, 2023); Sexualidades, Media e Revolução dos Cravos (Imprensa de Ciências Sociais, 2020); Amor e Sexo no Tempo de Salazar (Esfera dos Livros, 2020); Fantasias Eróticas: Segredos das Mulheres Portuguesas (Esfera dos Livros, 2007). Co-author (with Joseph Marando) of Na Alma do Ribatejo (Nersant and Casario Ribatejano Association, 2007). The 2024 edition of the Maria Lamas Prize for Studies on Women, Gender and Equality was awarded by the Municipality of Torres Novas for the book ‘Compassos Feministas - Associações Federadas no Conselho Nacional da Mulheres Portuguesa (1914-1947)’ (Edições Húmus). Received the award for Best Portuguese Film, of the competition "Filmes sobre Arte 2013", of the Festival Temps d'Images, for the documentary "Enxoval", in which she participated as co-author (together with Pedro Macedo and Kitty Oliveira) and journalist. Author of the project "A short story of sex", a seminar for secondary school students (created in 2015). The seminar proposes a reflection on intimate citizenship from a brief history of gender and sexualities in the last 60 years in Portugal. Founder of the meeting "Mothers: Anonymous Women", at Casa dos Dias d' Água (in Lisbon) (2005-2006), which represents a critical view of the traditional gender roles of maternity and paternity in Portugal. Member of the Portuguese Society of Clinical Sexology, the Portuguese Association of Sociology, and UMAR. Works in the area(s) of Social Sciences with emphasis on Sociology. In her curriculum Ciência Vitae, the most frequent terms in the context of scientific, technological, and artistic-cultural production are: "Gender" and "Sexuality".
